Efika arrived!

Small package inside ;)
CA250051.JPG
Small motherboard ^^
CA250001.JPG
small motherboard next to a big power supply :P
CA250002.JPG
A Radeon 7500 with a big heat sink (to replace the noisy fan)
CA250009.JPG
Efika with a 2nd hand 12GB harddisk
CA250010.JPG
I put a pin to understand the size :p

Finally, a "case" for my Efika: the box where it came shipped ^^;
CA250010.JPG
I bought an AC-adaptor type power supply, but it's a bit big, so I'll need extra height

The case, almost finished.

Installing Debian. I've tried several USB keyboards, and PS2-USB converters, but they won't work. Finally, I got this Nec keyboard working.
CA250003.JPG
Similarly, I tried several USB memory devices, but they were not recognized. Finally, the PSP saved my life ;)
CA250004.JPG
The installation takes almost 2 hours, so I leave my desk :P
CA250002.JPG
Finally, GDM! I booted into the system ;)
CA250003.JPG
Gnome in a BOX (literally!)
efika.070419
Efika + Debian + Fluxbox + MorflOX style

I installed some leds and a reset button. No power button, because for this AC-type PSU, it's better to unplug (it makes a weird noise when off and plugged...)
CA250002.JPG
The HD and the power leds in action ;)

The cables went inside the low board. That white box is the Efika, my home server now ;)
